I saw this ages ago and found it again last nite. One of the funniest video's I've seen on youtube.

I love how the gunner says rather casually "nope"
and the pilot ignores him anyway, what a classic cockpit recording!
Wonder who's butts got fried for this one!

A pic of a used and abused T-53 with a seized up output shaft bearing pack???? I certainly hope not! LOL
Also been in contact with these guys:

They were instrumental in helping track down the right kind of driveshaft setup. Awesome vid! They apparently drag race in the US and the most amusing thing they told me was their pit activities between rounds. Guys around them are running all over tearing heads off big blocks and tuning like mad etc while they are having a drink and wiping the waterspots of the polished hot end of their motor. There is basically zero to maintain and tune on one of these engines. They also run a 13B model making 1400 hp+
