Well, the flag will drop this morning for another Mexico World Race. The best of all venues, for sure.
I talked to Rob last night and he said that he will be calling after each leg.
I'll use this thread to post results as I hear them.
Sounds like Whitey and Gordy are running real good. Didn't ask about Spencer, but I'm sure he is too.
Anyways,,,,Good luck and I'll post here hopefully tonight with the first day results. |

OK, the first leg up to Caracol is done. Lots of break downs, and very little info till the next run back to Altramirano is done.
Spencer King - 1st in and freaking flying (go figure!!).
Whitey - 2nd and tagged up lightly on a rock up top, but damage don't look bad at this point.
Gordy - 3rd but Rob figures he's holding a bit back. The down run will tell the tale.
Rob's call got cut off before the rest but he'll be calling back once the day is done.
Stay tuned for the latest info here.

Pepe, If you don't take the CAPS LOCK off, I'm going call the imigration office and have you deported!!!
Spencer has a 3 minute lead after today.
Gordy is second.
Whitey is third.
Chad & Willie had a pump bearing go and will be running tomorrow.
Tim & ?? blew a coil and will be running tomorrow also. Both break downs happened on the run up. |

The imigration people are on the way over PEPE!
After the third leg this morning;
Spencer is still running 1st.
Gordy is running 2nd.
Whitey is 3rd.
Ryan from Oregon is 4th. Leo broke on the first leg.
Rob thinks that Chad is in 2nd place in "B" class.
Tim is running in 4th or 5th in "B".
If any one can email me and tell which boats are Chad's and Tim's, then I'll post that.
The forth leg was getting ready to start a few minutes ago and I'll get another call later this afternoon.
Stay tuned racefans. |

Just got a call , Dale is sitting at the end of the leg and along the way he passed Spencer and Gordy who were both parked on the bank. Not great news for the Canuck big shooters but good news for Dale I guess.
Cheers
p.s. there was no word yet as to what or how serious the problems were with either boat. Everyone is ok tho and it appeared to be mechanical failures _________________ T-53 , why go up and down when you wanna go round and round???? |

Bad day for Canada.
Spencer is out with a suspected broke piston.
Gord is out with a suspected main bearing (broke down at the only bar on the river); He's drinking now.
Whitey took over first place, but had a vibration issue, though it is not serious at this time.
Ryan from Oregon is running second overall ("A" boat).
Chad & Tim are both running strong in "B" class; Good luck to these guys on their first trip down. |

Ryan from Oregon is Ryan Ringer of Gold Beach. Boat/team name is BOHHICA.....
First year driving. Tim Harding navigated for him in the US Championship series. (Ryan is a former navigator for Tim). Hard charger. Take No Prisoners kind of driver. Ran the fastest single leg on the Salmon this year. Lots of weird stuff happened to him all year. Maybe behind him now _________________ "faster, Faster, FASTER until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of DEATH"#163 "Tuff-n'-Nuff" |
