I'm curious why you don't see more 10 degree bottoms out there. I've had 16, 14, 12 and been in a few 8s. 12s seem the most common for general river and lake boating. I liked the 12 but you still had to keep your speed up. 8s seem like you can slow right down before a corner then slide over the shallows and hit the fuel. Are 10s a nice compromise to not killing the kidneys in an 8 with rough water?

The other thing I've seen is way more 16 fosters out there now, are people just not packing the loads they did before and enjoying the confidence of a smaller boat. I have yet to ride in a 16, where I live it would be very limiting due to big water during times of year. I'm sure pushing a 16 sported is much easier than a 22 foot big block. Lol. I guess the day trappers are everywhere now, or 2 people per boat on longer trips is more the norm now. Fuel prices are just too rough, I like the bigger load hauler.
