I done that quite some time ago. Boat is long gone. Make sure your 5.7 is a vortec, is it fuel injected? if so I had trouble finding a good map for my zz and ended up with a highrise and a 4 barrel. I needed a different flywheel/ring gear and different water pump, if I remember correctly theres long shaft and short shaft pumps.
Hope that helps |

I have been running a zz383 since 2011 in a 19 foot 12 degree with a Hammy 212. Motor works great. Lots of low end grunt. |
