Does anyone have an opinion on wet style headers (see picture)?

Do they increase performance, compared to a lousy made regular header? What have you experienced? Why is it that most race guys prefer the standard style?

water cooled exhaust would rob me of about 150 rpm as opposed to a dry header........not alot of rpm....but when your dealing with the tight racing of 1 or 2 mph differance............i guess the dry header works the best.

Wilson, som fx guys ran that style in 05 and did well in whitecourt, as for me... I like the noise.
