I bought a 2005 Outlaw Lynx with 400 hours on it. Boat runs good, but not a lot of maintenance performed on motor. Talked to some boat owners and a comment was made in reference to pulling motor out to change reed valves. Looks like it's tight between transom and motor, how difficult is it to see what you're doing with motor in place. Any other suggestions on maintenance. Thanks |

Reeds are on the front of the motor behind the intake air horn . Pulling the motor is not necessary unless you have a bulkhead really close to the intake. The reeds in a 240 are composite and not metal so unless its running poorly or idling poorly ,probably not needed. |
