Hey GP guys what happened to the World record water crossing attempt in mid August. I heard on the radio some guy was going to take his rmk600 down the Wapiti to the Smokey and back to GP which is just over the current WR of 63 miles of water crossing? Did he make it? _________________ If you ain't hittin bottom you ain't jetboatin! |

Ya we sponsored him (Countryside Motor Sports). He made it 94.5 km back and forth on the Wapity. The only reason he stopped is because the chase(support) boat ran out of gas. There is some guy out east that says he had gone longer than that years ago but Ginness will not give him the title because he measured it with his trip meter. Anyway the guy here has offered a challenge to the guy out east to have a water cross off. The guy here figures that with a little fuel tank adjustments he can go over 200 km. |
