Ok, this is the first jet boat I have ever owned. It's a 07 Nahanni. It has a 5.7 Kodiak and the American Turbine SD309 pump.
I need to know how to winterize these engines. I have been fumbling around on it now for a bit and can't really figure out how to drain everything.
The heat exchanger looks like it drains it's self. I took a plug out the bottom of the manifold and only antifreeze came out, so where do you drain the water out?
Please some one step me through in terms that a 10yr old would understand because that what I'm feeling like looking at this thing.
I can't find anything really that helps on the internet just that they it says to drain everything. |

1-put stabil in the fuel;change oil and filter;also fuel filter
2-with the boat in water run engine 10 minutes;spray fogging compound in air intake
3-Check antifreeze is up to spec
4-pull ends off heat exchanger and flush out sand
5-drain and flush oil cooler and fuel cooler if equipped
6-drain sand trap if equipped
7- grease pump (2 fittings)
8-disconnect battery and put on trickle charge
If you are not sure it is best to take it to a qualified marine shop. |
