The reed cagge gasket that came off my sportjet had all the openings in a straight line. The new one I got with the kit had the openings smaller and are staggered to each side plus not all of the bolt holes are in the gasket. Is it ok to just cut the gasket and.make the holes for the bolts? _________________ Mark
A litle more info. I may have figured it out. somone can let me know if I am wrong. I cut the reed slots out bigger to fit the 7 pedal reed cage and knocke holes out for the the bolts. I also made the oiling slots in the three places that oils from the cover into the reed blocks
