KOOTENAY RIVER SPRING JET BOAT RALLY
Sunday May 17th - 1pm


LAUNCH - Wardner BC. Travelling east from Fernie cross the Kootenay River Bridge. Turn left into Wardner. Follow the road to a good gravel boat launch.

Run upstream from Wardner; refreshment break just before the Fort Steele Bridge on the Right Hand side of the river. Continue on to Tata Creek Recreation Area on the Left Hand side just past the road bridge.

The Kootenay is in good boating shape; fairly easy running. Interesting side runs are a possibility for those with heavy duty lightweight boats - on the St Mary's and Bull Rivers - and there are also some interesting back channels & short cuts on the main Kootenay.

After the down run the Jaffray Pub (on the way back to Fernie) is a great place to stop for dinner and drinks. Any questions please contact Alex ....z77@shaw.ca

Tks for the info. Can't make it this year, wish I would have known about this rally sooner. Are you having a second rally this summer or fall? Please post other dates if possible. I would like to attend. Again Tks
