So...... over the past few months I have taken several tours on several different rivers. Something of note that will be a big concern for our "community" is the amount of garbage that is being left behind. At the spots that i have stopped it is definitely jet boaters leaving their crap behind. There is remnants of air tight stoves, tarps, cans, bottles, plastic, even egg shells (just a note, they do not burn!), half burnt Styrofoam,etc. When I stop at the paddlers camp sites they are almost always completely clean. Why are we leaving crap all over the place? We travel in large high powered vessels capable of carrying almost double of what a canoe can carry and we are unable to take out what we bring in.

THIS IS DISGUSTING!! Not to mention embarrassing. Travelers from out of the province or from outside our country must be very proud of the vast expanses we boast of, riddled with garbage in even our most pristine wildernesses. Soon we will have areas of the river closed to use if we keep up the current trend.

IF YOU CAN BRING IT OUT YOU CAN DAMN WELL TAKE THE REMAINS HOME.
