Is there another pump that would bolt up to the SD-309 intake?
Looking at a boat with a SD-309 but prefer the Hamilton type pump, I know you can switch the SD-312 for the 203 but is there any way with out tearing out the intake and moving the motor to get a more suitable pump for gravel / stick pumping?? |

Pumps such as a berkley, legend, dominator, agressor and a marine power will all bolt down (this would require a bit of re drilling and tapping)
But all use a nearly identical mixed flow impeller.
What type of boat do you have? And do u already have a EZ clean?
The 212 hammy will handle more trash but yeah it is a costly upgrade and a lotta work

It would be a 20' Lynx and it does have the ez-clean already installed. I'm guessing the motor would have to be moved also. The boat has a dogbox cover also.
It is actually the 20' Custom Lynx that was for sale on here. |

I think that you would be better to just order a boat with a 212. I honestly think that a 20ft Lynx with a carb'd 350 and a 309 is a not a very good setup. A 20ft Lynx is quite a heavy boat and I think the ideal setup would be a 6.0L with a 212. It looks from the pics that the carb was upgraded and with the place diverter you know the owner is trying to get more out of the boat. After just two months of ownership...I would suggest...it ain't working for the new owner which is why it is back up for sale.

Yeah the more I think about it the less I like the thought of it, guess I'll have to wait for a bit and order what I want or start looking around.....
Just hope the wife doesn't catch on to quickly...... |
