I got my hands on a 5.3L engine for nothing, originally planning on buying a 5.7L. I don't hear of many 5.3 engines being used so I am wondering if they will bolt up to an AT SD309 pump. I currently have an old SBF 302. I am hoping someone can let me know if I'm going in the wrong direction or if this will work the same as a 350.

Yup they will firt with any of the marine LS gear

Great thanks! Now can anyone help me out with choosing the right cam. I'm overwhelmed with all the different grinds and the info I have read. What will give me the best low end torque? and what have people had success with?
