Does anybody else have problems starting their 240 when it's cold? I thought that since it's EFI it should start no problem, cold or hot. I can always start mine when it's cold, but it usually takes a few cranks and some throttle. When it's warm it starts like nothing. I had a friend with a 240 and he said he never had to crank on it when it was cold, always starting right up.
Can anyone explain this? How should it normally start?
Thanks,

I am not an expert on the 240, but it almost sounds like it is taking it awhile to get fuel? Possibly the fuel is draining back to the tank, so the pump has to suck it back in and pressurize the system? Warm or cold should not affect it as it is fuel injected.
My 200 fires in seconds no matter what temp. |

I run a 240 efi in my bobcat. It can sit all winter battery in boat and fire right up. I have never had a problem at all. Wish everything I owned run as good. |
