Is it best to put a longshaft kicker motor on the Outlaw Clearwater jetboator will a short shaft work also? New to jetboating and thinking that I should add one to my boat.

Long or short shaft??? The answer depends on the actual transom height.
Since the kicker motor will be placed on an adapting plate, that could probably be adjusted to receive either.
The important thing is that once the kicker motor is IN the water, the cavitation plate should be right on the water surface.
Contrary to the obvious sexual joke, I prefer short shaft ... engines...

It stays in same position all the time, never gets moved. When trolling, skeg is above bottom of boat. At cruising speed skeg is above waterline and does not drag. works awesome. Trick is motor is about 3' back from hull so no problem steering, which is done by panther remote steering. Actually hardly used anymore as minn kota auto pilot controls this custom Muskwa now.
