I'm running a wideband O2 sensor on my fuel injected Olds 455. It's using a FAST EZ-EFI kit that self tunes based on AFR's you select. Without a functioning O2 sensor the system tends to over fuel (or so I'm told). So far so good for me though. I made my own stainless water jacketed headers to be able to accommodate the sensor though. That was a major PITA but the results were worth it. Sensor location and no exhaust leaks are critical. _________________ "Don't worry ... that'll buff right out."

I have another better picture that shows the bung actually welded into the collector but unfortunately I'm not able to upload it. Maybe someone could give me a hand. Anyway, the bung is approx. 20" from the head exhaust port and it was installed at a 45 deg. angle to keep the harness connection end from contacting the engine cover and so that moisture wouldn't collect in the sensor itself. The bung goes thru the header and water jacket and is seal welded in both areas. I put bungs on both sides of the exhaust just in case (makes it easy to also run a separate wideband O2 sensor so you can check calibration of the one driving the AFR via the ECU.
So far it's worked great. _________________ "Don't worry ... that'll buff right out."
