I thought I lost my bottom end or gear box when this piled up in my wear ring.[/img]

Ouch, I bet you spilled your beer on that one.
Is something like that repairable? Looks like you're in the stages of doing that?

Looks like I'm rebuilding but I welded and had that impellor spun 25hrs ago. C.C. Industries in P.G. say they can fix it but I'm probably just going to put it on the shelf for a while.
Bought a new 3 blade, welded it and having it spun tomorrow.
Farmergrant; We didn't even get a chance to crack a beer it happened so fast!
Kevin at Omenica Boats has seen one other 3 blade break off but no 4 blades? Doesn't make sense. Has anyone else seen these sportjet impellors break up?

I had a similar problem with a new alum impellor in an american turbine pump after 10 min of runtime, we were in a lake with no rocks so suspect it was a bad cast. Lucky for me Outlaw marine was able to talk to the supplier and get me a new one since they are getting pricy.
