The Central Alberta River Boat Association – CARBA, is a nonprofit organization of jet boating enthusiasts whose mission is to promote safe family recreational jet boating within Alberta.

CARBA has been in existence in one form or another for over 20 years.
CARBA members come from all walks of life and represent a diverse cross section of society.
CARBA promotes general river boat safety and the concept of shared access and responsible use of all waterways in Alberta.
CARBA members have been active in various river cleanup campaigns and have made their boats and knowledge of the rivers available to Search and Rescue, Police and Fire Departments. There are many river users that have been very appreciative of the sight and sound of one of our members showing up to lend assistance in a time of crisis.
CARBA hosts a yearly family poker rally as well as many informal “river gatherings.”
CARBA encourages everyone to take an active role in their boating activities, both on and off the water. Join CARBA and/or your local club and participate in local and regional decision making processes, which often impact all users of our natural resources.
CARBA would also encourage its members to submit boat capability details and contact info to its emergency response database. This information will be privately shared with Search and Rescue and law enforcement officials to be used only in time of emergency on the rivers. There is no greater asset to these officials than the knowledge, experience and equipment our members can (and often do) offer on a short notice basis.
