Never done that so....correct me if i'm wrong......
Need to replace both universal joints, on my outlaw deltapad with a 502BBC and an AT SD309
so i guess i have to remove the pump to get access to these?
Don't have a winch, so i will support the back of the engine with a piece of wood under the pan?
Is it usually a pain to remove the pump and sealant?
What kind of sealant or gasket do you guys use?
Maybe you have an idea of the part number for those Universal joints so i could get a set before starting the job?
Any tricks i should be aware of?
I'm not planning to open the pump itself
Sorry for all these questions, i'm still a newbe
Thanks

woh hold on Shocked don't start pulling the pump and don't do anything till ya try unbolting the driveline at the flywheel and see if the engine was mounted ahead enough that you can move driveline back and away from the engine then ahead and off the pump shaft Very Happy if not then pull the engine .

did as you said but had to tear the hole thing apart, even the bellhousing from the engine to be able to reach.....A pain in the......
Thanks for the info.
Now i need an equivalent...perhaps in the automotive world, for my universal joints. as they are metric, the specialized shops around here do not sell these.
The caps are 27 millimeters large, and the hole thing measures 82 Millimeters long from on end to the other. so if anyone has that number, or knows on which automotive application they are used, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot.

You were right Gent911, these are largely used on GM cars, and they were not metric but standard.
I had a real hard time getting the whole thing aligned to fit the splines in place, but finally got it(i do not have any means for lifting the engine up, and the 502 is pretty heavy)
My turbine rattle went down by 80% at least, and replaced the u-joints by heavy duty ones that have the zerks on the caps, so it also fixed my greasing problem.
thanks everyone for all the inputs.
