because of forum pics and stories on the kootenay , its on my river list for this year but i have no idea were to launch , lil help here fella's?

If you are running the Kootenay above Lake Koocanusa you can put in at Wardner,Skookumchuck or Canal Flats...(by the road bridge in all cases)there are some interesting small rivers that run into the Kootenay ...also some side channels below Fort Steele.
We used to do an annual run on the May long weekend ...usually launched at Canal Flats and run up and down.

Some great scenery on the Kooteney. We do Wardner up past Ft Steele all the time and have down the Canal Flats run once. That was some big water that day but was a great run.
