Both have been SOLD
Purpose: Boat will run a bit dryer so you pick up some speed when using certain bowls ie Berkley (not sure of exact model). _________________ Alex |

Not all boats will pick up speed. It depends on what hull you have, the weight distibution, how much power you have , what you are willing to give up to get more speed, how the boat turns right now, and so on, and so on. etc. Wlecome to world of jet boat tuning _________________ Mark

Thanks for the info.Like to be more knowledgale about fine tuning boats! where does a guy find such knowledge?,besides trial and error ,running jet boat for only 5 years and still know F#@$-all. Fun but does hurt the pocket book with the let her buck attitude, glad I'm a welder with the know & the eqipment to fix the structural problems.anything else SHOP IT.One Question you might be able to answer.Steering feels stiff !not anymore weight in the boat just more strong arming than it used to be .Any help would be great. Also I put a SS impeler and lost performance I feel. I can understand the drop in rpm but with the drop in speed was it worth it? |

As far as your steering you may need a new cable. It also depends on the nozzle type some have a sealing ring that can come loose and get lodged in the swivel part of the nozzle. How much rpm did you loose when going to ss impeller. What rpm were you running before. You may just ned to cut the ss impeller to get your rpm back along with the performance. Most ss impeller will load an engine harder with the same size impeller compared to the alum one.
Learning how to tune a jet is just that trial and error. Alot of error. Each boat if differnet and likes different things. Also each driver is looking for different things also. I don't know if there is a an all out perfect boat out there or if there ever will be. There is alot of trade offs. That is why I had threee boats but now I have cut down to two but I still miss having the third one sometimes. _________________ Mark
