just wondering what sort of sealant to use for head studs on a sbc I used gasola thread sealant but it didnt work very well as the majority of them leaked water

Permatex Liquid Teflon, a little white plastic jar and metal cap is what you need.

Loctite 515 or 518. Has never let me down.
