Hey folks,
I had a new 250 sport jet installed in my Lynx last year. Fist trip out I hit bottom pretty good and noticed water in the boat. While running the engine I could see, what looked like, water seeping out on the lower rear part of the motor next to the exhaust manifold. I chocked it up to a blown gasket and planned to repair this spring. Anyhow, got at it today and found a 3/4" hose fitting at the rear base of the motor and no hose connected - this is where the water has been coming from. Anyone know what this fitting is for and what I should be doing with it? Can I just plug it?
Thanks

Could it be the fitting that you hook a garden hose upto so you can run the engine with the pump out of the water? If that is it, block it off as your cooling will not be getting enough back pressure..... _________________ What was that noise? Glad wife didn't see the bill!! |

The hose connection is connected to another spot. Not sure if it should have been connected here also.
Was kinda thinking it may be a connection for the optional heater (BUS).... |
