the pics are too small for me to tell but it looks like the bottom comes up like a lynx straight to the deck and it looks like an 8 degree so it might be an older lynx. 98 is long before my time and the dash is different than any outlaw ive seen but if it is an outlaw im sure its lynx if they were even named that then

ya the actual dash panel is the same as some early 2000;s nahanni panels and i looked at some pictures and noticed the transom is also identical to a 2001 nahanni transom i saw.. there is a lot of similarities but a few irregularities..

the chine extrusion is right for a lynx the bottom style is the same for lynxs and tomcat but tomcats are 12 degrees, and usually open in the front . the dash faces are similar but the step in the middle is different theres no rope locker in it,plus the windows are different theres no step to the deck like ours have now. ive also never seen a step in the cockpit like theres is in this one infront of the rear seats.like i said this is before my time there and i dont know how things changed before 2005. steve or alix might see this and remember more. a good give away for outlaw is the extrusion used as stringers.

Looking closely at the boat I don't think it's an Outlaw boat. I beleive all Outlaw jet boats ran the swage or brake lines right up to the bow not like this hull has. Also the transom is queit abit different it's more like an american style transom Custom Weld etc. I owned a 95 Outlaw Nahanni it didn't look like this boat at all inside or outside. Who know's I could be wrong this boat would have to be prior then 95.

i think your right on the swage lines .. thats what has me second guessing this supposed outlaw for 2 weeks! the owner swears its an outlaw that was custom built for a sherrifs dept.(you can actually see SHERRIF on the side of the boat) i have my doubts that its authentic but im no proffesional thats why im askin opinions on here. would there be any outlaw identification on the hull that i could ask him for?????

If this boat was used as a sheriffs boat it should have a US coastguard compliance label on the hulls interrior. Normally located on the gunnel just forward of the controls or on the rear right inner side of transom. This label will give you the manufactures name, model, carrying capacity etc required on coastguard approved hulls.
