Unlimited engine restrictions or modifications, any exhaust c/w mufflers

How do you accomplish the mufflers part on a TURBINE powered Unlimited boat?? Shocked That is going to be an interesting device.....

It's possible, but less effective on turboshafts where the power turbine substantially reduces the kinetic energy of the outflow. Methods use water injection and/or mixing with bypass/cooling air (see pic). The spec could be rewritten to exclude turbines, or base the limitation upon a weighted spectral noise measurement at distance (off-axis), and since high frequencies don't travel far, nearly all turbine boats would meet that spec by default.

Ack! Let me rephrase that: The noise spec could be rewritten to exempt turbines... Cool

Unlimited hydroplanes are losing some followers because they say the 'hairdryers' are just too quiet. There's only one piston H1 left: U-3, and it hasn't run in a couple years, but its thunderous rumble usually steals the show.

All Supercross and Motocross bikes in the AMA must pass a decibale test. Because of the four stroke era we live in now the bikes are just too damn loud and it's generating complaints from land owners near the tracks. Shouldn't be as big as deal on a river I would imagine.....

It looks like my turbo silencer. I am just curious, how much is the price of it nowadays?
