I have a 17 step tec with a sport jet i love the boat but the motor is loud and vibrates alot Are the boats with v8 in them as loud our is it the sport jet making it so loud and if its the sport jet can i have it removed and replace with a v8 or would it be better to trade it on one with a v8 in it thanks ace

Hear it for yourself. This is a relatively mild Chevy 350, maybe 330 HP, standard dual 4" unmuffled exhaust with exhaust risers, not even headers. Boat does about 50-54 mph depending on load @ 4,450 RPMs. Granted some of this is wind noise. I got used to it. Everyone says they can hear me coming from miles away. It pisses off kayakers.
