Is the RedDeer R. between Jener and the Sask. border boatable.I was hunting up there and could not get any access to the river between Jenner and Buffalo.Would like to hunt all the islands along that streach. The water looks deep enough. But it looks like if you got stuck you mite not be able to walk on those sandbars with out sinking out of site. And can you get a boat in at Jenner rodeo grounds. |

I don't know what it's like at Jenner, but up river at emmerson bridge it's gotton so shallow you can see bottom. Maybe 6". There's a boat launch somewhere. Ask Polo at the Jenner hotel. He has a jetboat and runs that stretch. Hope that helps. The only one I know of in that area is at Dinosaur park campground at Patricia, but I don't know if it's still open. |

I crossed the bridge northe of Jenner on highway 884 this morning and the river looks very shallow, looked almost impossible to navigate the sandbars. I also crossed the Red Deer on highway 41 south of Acadia Valley last week and observed very shallow conditions there as well. |
