Great site! More info and knowledge than I can take in at once.
Picked up a riverboat last month and learning the tricks. Getting stuck does happen and not just to the new guys. Turfer, push poles and shovel now stowed onboard. It also helps to have a crew that don't mind getting wet feet.
Have a 8deg 22 footer with a 350 small block, jet manufacter unkown but I do know that the reverse bucket sticks. Not much for reverse anyway.
Have had it out a couple of times. Once when the N Sask was low and discovered the stomp grate is valuable. Ran the N Sask last weekend with the family and then the wife and I went up the Brazeau river on Monday. Had a few puckers but, hey, it's baptism by fire.
Know I will have a few techinical questions as I go, so thanks for the help in advance. |
