Sounds like you need a new steering cable. Seems like I replace one every few years. It's worse if the boat is stored outside. Not much else can make for stiff steering. |

Install yourself a Hydraulic steering system, youll never go back to cables. Outlaw ill sell you one, depending on what you have now, there are 2 diffrent models of Teleflex hydraulic helms and they are direct replacement for teleflex cable steering helms. _________________ Bulls Eye Enterprises Inc.

Just went through this same deal on race weekend. Once they start getting stiff they are shot if you have teleflex cable steering. The cables are starting to burr up in the inside and if you keep using it they will eventually break..... Time for new cables...... Costly but easy to replace. I keep my race boat indoors always and I got 6 years out of my set. I run dual steering. _________________ Merv... |
