"B" Class Jet River Racers-The Labrums- will bring Boat #163 "Tuff-n-Nuff" to once again be challenged (and maybe even a little terrified) by the River of No Return.
We have raced the Salmon River Jet Boat Race every year since 2003 when we stripped down the Family Fishin' Boat and tried racing for the first time. We will try once again.
And now some "program info"
"B" Class Whitewater Marathon Jet River Racer-Boat #163-Team "Tuff-n-Nuff"
Driver: Duane Labrum from Wilder, Idaho
Naviguesser: Gary Labrum from Wilder, Idaho
Specifications:
1997 Eagle Tunnel Hull
361 cubic inch Dart (SBC design) powered
Thrust provided by American Turbine
Sponsors:
Labrum Homes
Tucker Construction
Hollon Haulin' Autobody and Towing
KC Supply/PPG paint
Our children's inheritance
Accomplishments/Happenings:
First race 2003 on the Salmon-River of No Return at Riggins, Idaho in the Family Fishin' Boat. 1988 Weldcraft. Finished the first day intact. Broke our only impeller second day. We're HOOKED!!!
2004 found a used Eagle Tunnel, picked up two podium finishes, crashed our boat in Grants Pass, ruined one motor at Roseburg and finished out the year with the motor from the Family Fishin' boat and learned some things..
2005-"B" Class winner and Overall Winners/Idaho Cup-Salmon River. Only the second "B" boat to do so. Destroyed 2 motors during the year.
2006-First Place B Class Riggins.
B Class Jet River Racer Flying Kilo Record Holder-APBA Region 10, APBA/US National and UIM/World.
2007-Fuel pump trouble at Riggins-2nd place B Class
2008-"B" Class Winner and Overall Winners/ Idaho Cup
2009-25th Anniversay Race-"B" Class and Overall Winners/ Idaho Cup
Racing on the Salmon has been very, very good to us.....not to mention really FUN _________________ "faster, Faster, FASTER until the thrill of speed overcomes the fear of DEATH"#163 "Tuff-n'-Nuff" |
