I passed through RD a few days ago and noticed how shallow the Red Deer River is.
So if you want to put the boat in the water this weekend and enjoy the few days of summer we get, come to the North Saskachewan River at Rocky. We have a boat launch that is 2 wheel drive friendly [west side of the bridge] and there is prlenty of water. The river is a little more shallow than normal for this time of year but it is still easy to run. The river is very clear as there has not been any runoff yet.
