Has anyone tried Endura teflon slip coating? Supposedly you can add concrete or cement mix and it will be super hard and durable. Might be another option to the John Deere stuff? I asked the sales rep that if I put it on the bottom of my boat and dragged it down my driveway would it stay on and he said it wouldn't hurt it at all. |

Good one Hooli!!
Is the Endura stuff sprayable or is it a brush on type of coating? Spray able is for short graqvel driveways, brushable is for longer paved ones!!
Seriously though---I tried a type of coating that was 2 parts, it was tough as nails, but it would chip off if there was any flexing of the base material. Also tried it as a way of tightening up the tolerance in an old sportjet wear ring, but it didn't last too long there. It was called Belzona (I think), it was used to fill in pump casings to remove impeller burn marks and pitting. It needs to be baked to get the toughness out of it, and I didn't do that as well as I should have. I use the John Deere stuff on my hull bottom right now and it is excellent, especially over top of a steel skidplate. It does need to be touched up at the start of every season, less if you stay away from gravel.
Do you have a link to the Endura product? _________________ It was like that when I got there! |

No I don't have a link. The sales rep is supposed to bring me all the spec's next week and look at my boat as for application. He said you can wrap metal around a 3/4" anvil and product will not come off. Also said that you can't beat it off with a hammer. We will see? |

Well hopefully you haven't dragged her face first around the driveway, the hammer work would be understandable though. |
