A droop or a straight snoot ?
If you are talking about a droop snoot there are to many varitables, weight distribution, and speed are a couple.
The only way to know for sure is to try one. If it doesn't work they are easy to sell to the fiberglass guys.
You'll know right away if it puts to much hardware in the water. It will steer like a pig at slow to moderate speed and top speed will be off.
If it works you'll have a little more leverage and top speed.
I have a 19' step and it likes a straight snoot on a long bowl with 9* of wedge up and a manual Place Diverter. I've tried a lot of different stuff to get here . . . Some of the straight snoots have 4* wedge built into them and some have none.
Back here there are only 5 Alloy boats and they are all different for optium performance and handling. I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but there is no for sure way without expermenting.
Always take your GPS when you try "New" stuff.

I have had no good experiences with the stock AT 309 steering nozzle.
It makes the boat steer terrible at slower speeds especially the more you lengthen the pump.
To much drag in the water with the reverse directer . . . _________________ I refuse to join a group that would allow a person like me to be a member. |
