I'm going to buying a new motor for the ole tub over the winter and with all the crate engines available now, there needs to be some thought put into this!
Arthur mentioned in a another thread that he is liking the 383 and I'd like to hear abit more about that Question . The new LS3's are very nice but kinda new to the scene and unproven (I think). Lets have some input on this if you can help out.

Whats the dyno graph look like on the LS3, I'm pretty sure the zz383 has the numbers in the right spots but I wasn't able to find any info other than 515HP for the LS3 with a carb on it.

this LS3 would compare better with the ZZ383 but would be a lot more money and need the computer to run the ign. and f/i. looks sweet if you wanted a modern set-up.

According to those specs if your going to be a weekend warrior go fast and not care about fuel consumption then go for the LS3 Bald man. If your looking for good power and better fuel consumption then that ZZ383 looks pretty good.
