I found this cool program called Google Earth http://earth.google.com/. You can type in a postal code / zip code, city, etc and zoom into any area and pan around rivers, lakes,... it even gives elevation. Looks like a good way to find new boating areas. Program is about 10mb to download.

Yeap its an awesome website and moreso if ur lucky enough to find what ur looking at in the high defintion parts. Its great for looking at rivers in Ontario.

Make sure you check out the elevation feature too as it will show that which is way cool. It does alot but I wish you could print. Im guessing when you get the paid version you can???
