I wondered where this boat ended up. I owned this boat for over two years. I purchased it in 2002 and sold it in early 2004. Are you the guy who bought it from me? I remember the purchaser wanting to put in an experimental engine that was lightweight and high revving. I purchased the boat from a guy named Steve Roberts out of Grants Pass. I raced it once in SBFX. The boat was built by Dave Provost of Grants Pass and he raced it B class for a while. I was told that it has a new nose in it due to a hard wreck in Gold Beach by Provost himself. I worked on the bottom and had it pretty straight when I sold it. It was a little heavy for sbfx thus I purchased the lightweight step tech. I had a lot fun with this boat and it seemed to run alright. It would make a good BBFX boat or a B boat. It had an american turbine sd-309 intake in it with a homemade nozzle. Just wanted to add my two cents. _________________ Merv... |
