Well, I've just spent some of the best days of my life up in Canada.
And I do want to print this out loud: THANK YOU.
Everybody was SO NICE to us. Sometimes it made feel like I didn't deserve it. (But we all know I do )
Thanks to Brian Mc Greggor and all the guys and girls organizing the race. It was a great job.
Shame on all those who complaint.
Thanks to all the FX class turnouts. 14 Boats!!! This shows that the class works and the Crate concept did not scare people away. Mike Mc Greggor came in third with a 20 year old hull, showing that you don't have to put in the big bucks to be competitive.
Special thanks to the boys at Karey Crawford's for taking the time to help us out.
And although I was not involved, I feel like we have to recognize Neville Kelly from New Zealand. As they were racing to Watino on the 3rd day, Neville stopped to pick up Gil García and Oscar Zozaya from the cold water as they had just sunk their boat. That's the kind of stuff and people that makes this sport great.
Mark Cromie did put on a great show, with his boat and the last leg effort from his crew to make it to the finish line. I did feel bad for him as they could not hold to the lead.
Of course, congratulations to Dale Whiteside, Alex Robinson, Daniel Anderson, Bob Hug, Richard & Elaine Grant and Dave Anderson, winners of their class. _________________ Wisdom chases me, but I´m faster |
