The real countdown begins!
We're settled into the Nova Inn across the highway from the boat launch park in Whitecourt. We've seen the Kiwi teams roll in, Ryan Ringer and co and of course my driver Gary Weaver from Albany.
We spent Monday running the course in Grande Prairie and today running the Smokey in Peace River.
The excitement is building as the start of the race draws nearer. The rivers are all VERY high, the Smokey just flowing like crazy creating lots of big rollers ion the top end. Found a sandbar in GP on Monday and managed to get thrown into the dash of our prerun boat, dislodging the window with my face and likely breaking something in my foot, oh well the price you pay for racing I guess!
Hope everyone else arrives safely and looking forward to seeing the mass of race boats at the show and shine. We keep hearing m
numbers over 55 which will be just awesome!
Looking forward to seeing everyone, meeting new people and just experiencing what clearly draws people from all over the world.
Drive safe everyone ans stay tuned I will try my best to post pictures and times when I have net access
Cheers
Xero
p.s. a few pictures from the post prerun dinner in GP, some pictures require explaination, some don't, or perhaps shouldn't!
haha
