A raceboat driver told me, that the only thing good about synthetic oil is that when it blows all over the place it doesn,t catch fire right away.

I believe him Evil or Very Mad
I switched from Penz 40 to full synthetic 15 40
I made a run on the North Sask and this crap pumped itself out all over the place.

Now having said that I all ways kept the rpms to 3000 on the run I stepped it up to 3500. 460 ford

Any one care to tell me what might have gone wrong.
Oil pressure is constant 70 @ 3000 3500 rpm?????
Kinda scratchin my head on this one. I'm thinkin of switching back to Penz 40 but it's getting hard to find Sad
Cheers and good on Ya's

Hard to say why the oil pumped out but I doubt it had anything to do with it being synthetic. I also use synthetic oil in both my pleasure boat and race boat and haven't had any problems. Every professional race team that I know of uses synthetic oil, especially endurance racers.

Hmmmmm, I wonder what could have gone wrong?

I'm going to investigate a little closer when I get rid of the shivers Laughing
There is a good possibility I may have put to much oil in it.

Hey guys I've said it before and I'll say it again I take my hat off to all
you racers. The intestinal fortitude and experience you guys have, to run your machines at the speeds you do and the the unbelievable waters you do it in, is simply mind boggling.
Cheers and good on ya's
