I have just about had enough with them freaking frenchmen. Why is it that they continue to hold a gun to the rest of Canada's head and we just put up with it? They have been doing it for decades. We finally get a Conservative Government (sort of) in power and we think that now things will change. But they too have caved to their demands. And now with the whole Shane Doan affair, well that is just plain unreal. How could any one else in that room stand up and question his commitment to Canada. It makes me sick. Please write your MP and tell them it makes you sick. It is real easy.

I am in total agreement with you, this matter over Shane Doan is completely ridiculous. This all started on the Official Languages Committee. A motion was proposed by the Bloc Québécois and the whole committee voted in favor to bring Hockey Canada officials in to question why Shane is Captain, given that he allegedly spoke a slur against a French referee back in 2005. I can not understand why my Conservative colleagues could vote for such a motion. I'm not on the Official Languages Committee, but I do know it is not the responsibility of the House of Commons to coach Team Canada or throw baseless accusations against one of it's hockey players. The NHL did an investigation on the allege slur in 2005 and Shane was cleared and if you know anything of Shane Doan, he is an upstanding role model for the sport.

Parliament has better things to do with it's time then micromanage Team Canada and slander Shane. Kevin Sorenson (MP for Crowfoot, Shane hometown's MP) and I support Shane Doan and you do not know how angry the actions of the Official Language Committee, the votes of my fellow Conservative MPs on that committee, and the questions in Question Period on Shane, have made me. There are many more important issues to be dealt with and I am tired of this silliness.

About your comment on China and India being the largest growing emitters, you're quite right. If we can not convince them to take measure to control their CO2, it matters very little what we Canadians do. I'm on the steering committee of the G8+5 Committee on Climate Change, a group of the G8 countries plus Mexico, Brazil, South Africa, China and India. We are working on a plan that will include all these countries and find solutions to climate change. We will be presenting the plan to the G8 in spring 2008. We have the Chinese and the Americans on side after February's meeting of the committee in Washington and I'm very hopeful we can get something done on this file.

On Afghanistan, we are there to help rebuild the country and make sure the Taliban can never harm the Afghan people, and us, again. But, I understand your concerns about the mission.

Bob,

I have been a strong supporter of you and the parties that you have been associated with since you got into politics.

BUT, What the hell is going on with Shane Doan. Has everyone lost their freaking minds.

With all that is going on in this rapidly declining country of ours, is that the best way to use ones time? I don't think so.

We have criminals getting very light sentences and getting off Scott free.

We have drug dealers slowly infecting a complete generation of kids with meth, crack and ecstasy.

We have the French holding guns to our heads for more money and favors (which you guys gladly handed over).

We have the soldiers fighting a war that can not and will never be won. I have worked with these people when I worked overseas and they are not on the same planet we are. They will never be civilized and are just like an ant hill. You can kick that ant hill all day long but the minute you leave they are back re-building bigger and better. This war IS not a war that can be won. The best we can do is prevent them from coming to our country.

We have these idiots in the House asking that the prisoners are being abused over there; So what, they are trying to kill us. Let the abuse continue, it's the only thing they understand. They have been doing to each other for hundreds of years.

We have David Suzuki and Al Gore telling us all of the impending death of the world and the CBC and CTV are lapping it up. Can't anyone stand up and say we will be living in the dark, cold and walking to work (if we have jobs) to meet their unrealistic levels. Asia is the area they should be focusing on. Not Canada and our 2% of the Co2 emission output. But Asia, China, India, Russia would not allow them to stand up and say their message.

We have the Block party sucking on the public tit, but they want to leave Canada!!!! Have I lost my mind in the logic of that??

I'm done.

I started to only write about the hockey crap, but there are so many short comings that I see and hear everyday.
