Leadville (Mark) broke the plastic feed barb off his oil reservoir. Weaver was very kind to loan him the oil reservoir off his pre-run boat. _________________ Harrison

Yea Mark figures the oil tank bounced up and hit the underside of the hatch and broke off the nipple. I guess what we should have taken from that other than obviously make sure things are held down tight is always pop the hatch after every leg and have a quick look around. We wouldn't have even noticed if not for the keen eye of "mrs alumaman" that noticed our boat was pumping out green stuff!(2 stroke oil) The salmon is rough! You will see on inboat footage how violent it can be. I often remember my legs "floating" around under the dash and getting airborn was the norm.
I belive Gary had electrical problems and did not want to risk the motor quitting in a bad place which could be very serious in the wrong places on that course. I can't imagine how the course felt to him with 2 feet less boat aorund him!
I was tryin to think when you guys should come up for a weekend HCW, but Im not sure it would be better for a "party" weekend or to run some rivers, hmmmmm
Cheers
p.s. sorry about detroit _________________ T-53 , why go up and down when you wanna go round and round???? |

KJet,
Seats are made by RCI. They are certainly low end as far as seats go, but for around $100 each I cant complain. The high back seat is a good safety idea for racing and are more comfortable than the stock units. One thing I did was to weld in new pedestals where the bench seat used to be to mount the new race seats. Then if I want I can reinstall the front buckets and seat four with a 4 bucket set-up. Got the idea from seeing the project X boat, thanks James.
Ya, the green stuff, I momentarily thought Mark was flushing his bilge of some sort of toxic waste that he brought over from Michigan. |

Nahhhhhhh, we dumped THAT green stuff in the Colorado river, easier to hide in the 'brown' water
(I didn't know that about your seat bases, cool!) _________________ T-53 , why go up and down when you wanna go round and round???? |

you guys have too much time on your hands to play on the net.
For the record, I'm saving the toxic waste for my kids science project. Just storing it in the bottom of the boat for now. It was going to be a james bond type thing (oil slick) to give me that extra edge. |
