Tuchodi51 you have a couple of options with the Exwelding hi-skew impeller. One you can send it back to get a few mill shaved off the rear of the blades to free up a few more rpms. Or install an insertable posi-nozzle with a 98 or 100 mm insert. Using a 98 or 100mm nozzle size will improve you hole shot and free up your top end rpms. |

We figured the impeller might be tight at first, but after running 3 hrs in muddy spring run off it should have worn in. I've seen rebuilds so tight they had to dump oil on them and run them on the trailer at the launch to get them freed up enough to go. As for the posi nozzle, the merc hi scew performed really well in the current set up. Running it tonight to see how it does with a new merc, and we'll go from there. If it doesn't perform then it has to be something else. |

Yes they do work very well I would say it's the best upgrade to the sport jet pump. If your famillar with the Alaska Outdoor Forums there is a feed back post about the SJ insertable posi-nozzle ( What I think of the posi-nozzle). |

Getting off the topic on the Solas & Exw impeller here is some feed back on the new Exw sport jet insertable std posi-nozzle it works.
"What I think of the pozi nossel"
The best money I ever spent. When I talked to Claude he told me it would improve three things. I would make steering much nicer I would be able to run with less rpms and it would not come off step in the turns. Well I took the boat to lake lucille today. Driving the boat now you would think it has power stering I like to run the boat at 4900 rpms I was able to get he same results now running the boat at 4400 rpms. I could run the boat at 42oo and still stay on step in the turns and even in the chop in the water. When I went fast and made turns I never had to give it more power. Like I said best money I ever spent. Cluade thank you. You make a great product and you are a man of your word sir. |
