If that's too long in a jetboat for you....then you should be looking at a Mastercraft or something!! |

|

The time it takes to get there isn't the problem but the amount of fuel I would have to carry, on my 21' jet boat, could be a problem. My boat holds 80 gallons and I figure another 50 gallons would be a safe margin. This amount is based on 10 gallons per hour, minimum of 25 mph, and one way distance of 107 miles. When I get there I want to have some extra fuel to explore. It just amazes me the distance between places up North. |

The farther you go the better and bigger the fish LOL
It is not jetboat country...if the waves kick up you may be waiting on shore for a few days and may have to get up and go at 2-4am when the wind slows..doable but better in a 21ft with 200hp outboard _________________ If you ain't hittin bottom you ain't jetboatin! |

|

Our boat has a 5.7 ltr. and a Hamilton 773 pump and not great in large lakes with ocean size waves. I heard quite awhile ago that a road was planned from Wrigley to Norman Wells and eventually Inuvik, along the Mackenzie River. Has any part of this road been completed for general vehicle use? Wife and I have been as far north as Fort Liard and plan to travel to Yellowknife in the not to distant future. |
