Yeah Arthur the Nechako river has caused a lot of grief to home owners and businesses that are down close to where it joins the Fraser . Basically the river was flowing higher than normal for Nov. and when we got our first shot of -30 the resulting ice jammed up on the shallow flats where it flows into the Fraser and because of the high water flow it backed up and jumped the banks . They eventually brought a floating ice excavator in from back east which was able to open up a channel to the Fraser and so far it has stayed open , but everyone is hoping for a slow thaw this spring as there is a lot of ice up stream I tried to attach some pictures , but i suck when it comes to computers sorry no luck There are some on you tube if you look-up Prince George ice jam.
cheers Rick _________________ Rick's Precision Machine

Sorry to Hijack your thread Baldy....
Those are some crazy video's RPM .I have never heard of, or seen a floating excavator before.Best of luck to everyone dealing with that mess....If you need some help hauling sand bags in the spring, tell the people in charge you know a few guys willing to work for gas and beer. ....
Oh, as for the picture thing. Just click browse on the bottom of your "post a reply"page and it will take you into the pics stored on your computer. Then click on one and that should take you right back to the outlaw page hopefully. Then submit and you should get a pic up in your post....either way, those video's show alot of what's going on down there.
