Me and a few friends drove too Whitecourt this past weekend and made the trek up to Brule lake. It was definitely the best trip/holiday I have ever been on and would recommend it to anyone. 6 boats and 15 people and not one problem. Gotta like that! Here's a few pics......

Looks like a great trip. How many miles is it and and how much gas did you have to pack? _________________ It's always the Navigators fault! |

I was told it was 123 miles, but we never actually GPS'd it. I have a 65g tank and took two 5gal cans. Made it to Hinton with just under 1/4 tank and threw my two cans in. There's a outfit called A-1 towing just on top the hill at the first bridge that will run you to the station for 20 buck's a trip. I ended up putting in 8 more cans to almost fill it and made it back with just under 1/2 a tank.
So...to clear up that last comment I ran with 65g in the tank and put in 10 cans, which left me with more than enough to play around and get back to WC with.....best time ever and the scenery is amazing!!! |

The sign looks really familiar (I went a couple of days before you did). Sure is hard to stop at the sign isn't it??? _________________ 17' Firefish Frenzy, 200 opti, 8 degree rock chewin' bottom. Fishin' Extreme

That was my thoughts DOC....just play stooopid. I was expecting more of a sign or warning about going past it. Between you and me, there is a sweet camping spot about 200yrds past it with a picnic table, fire pit and a shitter with a view ...although it did take us awhile to paddle our motorized boats up to it ...it was well worth it.
What drunk people do.....
