What should a guy expect going up in the first week of June? Heard the fishing was good just after the ice goes out. Anybody know what the ice is doing up there? What kind of water levels should we expect?

Heard the ice was on its way out! If a guy can get ahold of Rockdoctor he will fill you in completely. I know he has been out fishing already.

Thanks mountain man. I sent the Doc a PM so hopefully he gets back from fishing and spills the goods.

Just for future reference for those heading up there. The boat launch on the muskwa is 57.6km past the last intersection in nelson. ( the one going south to the U.F.A.) We got lost going up there the first time. Turn left off the highway the road goes back to the south east along the highway for a little bit. Road in off the highway is aprox 5 or 6 km long.

Fishing was only marginal. Must have been the time of year.

We just got back from the lakes June 14 week-end. Great trip lots of water. We managed to get an hours ride above the second lake. Made one mistake. Left fuel at the mouth of the Tuchodi. Some little shit rat helped himself. Cut our trip by 1 day. Didn't have fuel to go up and hit the Gathto like planned. So I would suggest hiding fuel and marking with GPS. Only 4 boats not in our group. Pretty good idea who took it, hope they never need help on the river, she's a long walk out.

Some of the Whitecourt gang have gone up the Tuchodi and are having a great time! I'm sure there'll be some stories to tell and some pictures of Crawford, Stratton & Grant in some interesting predicaments! Stay tuned!
