We currently have 2- 20' Outlaw TEXA Outboards coming through production. These are a 16 degree hull with a pod style "Bracket" engine mount. They have 4 lifting strakes and a full tapered reverse chine.
Specs
Bottom: 5086 .188" Aluminum ( 1 Piece )
Sides: 5052 .125" Aluminum
Transom: 5052 .160" Aluminum
Engine mount plate: 6061 .500" Aluminum

Good looking boat.
Im not trying to tell you guys how to build boats, Get rid of that extended bottom on the offshore bracket. The extended bottom part totally defeats the the benefits of a bracket. Plus they generate too much stern lift.,

The bottom of the bracket is set at a different angle than the bottom of the hull. It will NOT generate lift or take away from the bracket. What it does do is stop the bounce that most bracket boats have as they go though rough wakes. lift at the stern and trim control at the stern are very different.
The boat works very well with the engine pod the way it is, it can easily be trimmed too much and you can still lift the bow with engine trim.
I do agree that a extended bottom set at keel angle will take away from the boats handling and performance.

We have added some Features to our Outlaw Hardy Bracket Outboard Model.
They are available in 18 or 20 foor Lengths
Welded side Rub Rail Hull Stiffener
Welded bilge and drop bow drains
Welded bow, stern and console rails
