| I wrote an earlier post about my pump slipping. I brought it in for service in Gibbons. What I got from them is there were rocks jammed in between te impeller and wear ring causing it to jam and eventually wear out the splines on the u joint or shaft. This is really hard for me to believe. They installed a new impeller and wear ing just last fall. The wear ring is badly grooved. Does this sound normal or was this poor installation? I don't want to spend another $4000 to fix it. Does anyone have any expertise or advice? Can anyone else repair it for cheaper? Any help MUCH appreciated |

| Sorry, the $4000 was new shaft assembly as well. But still, after 20 hours its hard to stomach. I called up Kehoe Marine and I'm taking my problems there. |
