Hey everyone, Just picked up a Capstan rope winch from Explorer industries in Edmonton,$1395.00 and comes with 50 Metres of rope, if anyone has been looking they were great to deal with. _________________ Hey Everybody Watch This |

I've had one of these for three years. I picked mine up from Diggerz in Hay River, NWT. They are an authorized distributor for the manufacturer in Quebec.
I also bought a roughneck case and stored the winch and all my winch gear in the case. Kept it organized and easy to move in and out of the boat.
If you plan on using it for recovery, the winch works great when you have something to winch to...
Here's a tip...get more rope!

I picked it up with 330 ft of rope a push pull anchor system and snatch blocks. Thinking I might double my rope though. _________________ Hey Everybody Watch This |

I used a pullpal ground anchor as my "winch to" solution. The pullpal worked great in my boat for getting off a few sandbars up the Root River and North Nahanni.
I loved it so much I bought the smaller size as well and throw it into my SxS Ranger or strap it to my quad.

Anyone have any experience with Louis Chainsaw winch? Pulls up to 8000#. Interchanges with bar in minutes. Could use the chainsaw for many other things. _________________ 2007 Outlaw 24' Caribou w/ 350EFI Merc/Ham212 |
