Ls3 can't get anything over 3000rpm and then any more throttle and it starts to bog and backfire. ANY IDEAS?

You may need to plug in the diacom with a laptop and check your fault codes;is yours marine power or kodiak and how old is it.....

This is a common problem with the LSA and LS3 engines. Some warning codes will still allow you to run the boat and have full RPM. Other trouble codes and Faults will put the engine into limp mode. Codes such as: Low oil level, fuel pressure, oil temperature, manifold pressure and so on. These codes can only be cleared by a laptop or scan tool.

With only 2 hours it should be a warrantee/dealer setup issue. We have seen some problems with connector sealing on the marine power motors.
